The Women’s Leadership Alliance’s Ambassador Community for
financial advisors, together with allies and advocates, is a growing nationwide network. Our membership is committed to working together to organize our efforts, and build influence, energy, resources, outreach, and support for women in the financial advising profession. As a WLA Ambassador you will be a part of a powerful and empowered community making a difference in finally moving the needle in gender representation at all levels in the financial advising profession.


As a WLA Ambassador member you will benefit from a nationwide network of professionals in the exchange of ideas, resources, and tools while collectively helping to scale the reach of our vision to transform the financial advising industry to one in which women comprise an equitable representation at every level.

Ambassador

WLA Ambassadors include financial advisors as well as advocates and allies, of all gender identities who want to join a movement to advance more women in the financial advising profession.

Early Career Ambassador

Early Career Ambassadors are financial advisors with fewer than four years of experience in the profession who are looking to build their network, their business, and their confidence, AND who would like to support other women on their financial advising path.

Student Ambassadors are enrolled in a college or university or are engaged in a financial advising internship and plan to pursue a career as a financial advisor and wish to connect with other women at various stages of their financial advising path.

Many hands make light work! As champions for women in the financial advising profession, WLA Ambassadors are
members of a community who come together with two primary goals:

1. Educate women about the empowering financial advising career path.

2. Support and advance more women currently working as financial advising professionals.

If you are passionate about changing the conversation pushing boundaries, and effecting change and would like to be a part of a community that promotes empowerment for women in the financial advising profession, we invite you to join us. Together, we can make a lasting impact and pave the way for a more inclusive and equitable financial advising industry.

As a non-profit organization, our efforts are firm-agnostic and our collective impact reaches firms, communities, and campuses across the country. Ambassadors make a difference because of the active role and commitment advocating for positive change within the profession in a variety of ways:

  • Sharing the WLA mission and resources online
  • Referring new members 
  • Speaking to students 
  • Mentoring emerging talent, or participating in community panels and events. 

 

You can also contribute by hosting virtual membership events, supporting our mentorship program, or helping connect WLA with potential sponsors. However you choose to engage, your support helps grow a stronger, more inclusive future for women in finance.

Ambassador Circles create an environment where members collaborate in insightful discussions, foster connections, provide support, and positively influence change in the wealth management industry.

  •  Regional Circles provide local, grass-roots advocacy and support, working with the WLA in our mission to attract, develop, and advance women in the financial advising profession.
  • Advocacy Circle engages in a range of activities to build industry influence through thought leadership, perform outreach to women students and mid-career changers, and offer professional development support to early-career women advisors.
  • Early Career Advisor Circle is a network of early-career women advisors, future advisors, and students engaging in professional development, networking, campus outreach, and community-building.
